What is your favorite area restaurant?

Even with all the great places to eat in Montville, some of us like to venture out of town.

What are your favorite area restaurants?

Fred's Fish Market on Blackwell Street in Dover and Bosphorus on North Beverwyck Road in Lake Hiawatha are really good.

Don Pepe on Rt. 46 has great steaks and lobster. Man size drinks too. Not to expensive.

If you like quantity Don Pepe is allright.

I like the new Bonefish Grill on 46... salmon on a plank is awesome. Tijuana Willies as a BYO in Boonton is a good stop too.

Calandras Grill in the Hampton Inn in Fairfield. GREAT food!

If you like Thai food, try Pat Thai on Beverwick next to Foodtown in Lake Hiawatha. Their Green Curry is the best, but you'll be breathing fire if you try it at more than the #4 level(American spicy). Also good is Lombardi's in Fairfield. Huge portions and really good eggplant parm.

Don Pepe steak house always good food. Havent made it to Bonefish, always an hour wait w/o res for me.

Columbia Inn is good too.

what about milans. the have one owner now.

theres a new guy in town and he owns cuban petes in montclair . the place is great!!!!!!!!!!!

Used to go to Milans years ago, had vg chef. Then place turned attention to loud music during dinner and weaker food. Havent been back since, that was several years ago.

If it's changed for the better, I'd try it again

ok, last night was first time at Bonefish and I enjoyed it.

You start off with bread & olive oil with a "pestolike" concoction for dipping. Kids menu's with crayons (a necessity for some peace)

Bang Bang Shrimp (spicy), crab cakes and mussels for app's..all were very good as we didn't leave a crumb on the plate.

Flounder(special), chops and salmon were the main courses. All were exceptional save the salmon, which was good but not exceptional although I would order it again.

The new martini my wife had (something brown) was also good.

Overall v/g ambiance, great attention and pleasant attitude by our waiter and the price was very reasonable...3 entre's, 3 app's, 1 kids menu, 3 hard drinks, giant bottle spring water, soda's etc $100.

Sevilla Restaurant
I've tried all others in the area, but keep going back. Food is great, portions are huge, Sangria is the best & the prices are reasonable.

Like Bosphorus as well...simple + well priced. Went to the new Montville Inn for the third time and seems to get better each time. This is one to watch, as they seem to be much more consistent and have added more choices to the tavern menu.

Went to Bonefish Grill for the first time and the service was spotty at best. Food was OK. Montville Inn was excellent. Service was professional and the food was great. Small enough to be comfortable with no fast food atmosphere.

I always get a great meal @ Sevilla in Pine Brook and at South City Grill in Mountain Lakes. Great food and drinks.

Don Pepe is wonderful as is The Station in Mountain Lakes. For an inexpensive dinner that is consistently good try Roma's in Boonton. Columbia Inn is also a good one. Not impressed with Montville Inn food not worth the price lacks consistency and the menu needs work staff also could be friendlier - does have great atmosphere - will continue to try they just need to iron out some wrinkles.

Recently tried Montville Inn.

I liked to ambiance, warm & cozy. Food was pretty good and service ok.

Didnt like the mason jar drinks.

202 Italian Bistro,wow what a retaurant.We were very impresed.Food and service were equaly great.Beautiful place,for a moment I thought I was dinning in NYC at a great price :).
Loved it, will go back for sure.

The new Montville inn is a great place! We should be thankful that the corner looks better and it is a nice place to have dinner with the family. The inside has old pictures of Montville and really has the town's history on the walls in wonderful historic pictures. The food was delicious and the service was very good. Something we can be proud of in Montville.

Montville Inn was such a disapointment.Im going to stick with my favorite place 202 Italian Bistro :)
