The World Should Give Thanks for America
Posted by Ron Soussa at 5:46 PM

Three hundred and 14 years ago, the Pilgrims gave thanks because there was a place for them in this land, and it was indeed grand. The land is grander today, and that, too, is remarkable: The U.S. Constitution is not only older than France's, Germany's, Italy's or Spain's constitution, it's older than all of them put together.

Americans should, as always, be thankful this Thanksgiving, but they should also understand just how rare in human history their blessings are. Read it all.

Excellent article! The United States is the only nation I know of where people are willing to risk their lives to get INTO it instead of getting out of it. And just what nation do the moaners and groaners of the world call on when REAL help is needed? Yes,the good old USA.

A world without America would be a miserable world for a whole lot of people who depend on our nation to bail them out of their troubles. That's another thing the leftists hate about our country....the United States is STILL,in spite of the lefts best efforts,a beacon of hope for all nations and an example they strive to copy.

A friend was recently bitching about how horrible the economy is and how out of reach home prices are in America (U.S. bad / Europe good, blah blah blah). The next day I was watching HGTV (wife was anyway) and they were showing a two bedroom apartment in Paris with a teeny tiny kitchen and one bathroom the size of six pack. Price - almost a million dollars.

I guess rising home prices in Paris are America's fault too.

Friends:

As we enter the holiday season, a little reminder that in some places, "Peace on Earth" is an unknown concept.

Attached is an article written buy a young man who was born in a concentration camp in North Korea ..in 1982.

For the uninformed, North Korea still has such camps where people are rounded up, tortured, murdered..you know, just like those camps in Nazi Germany. The ones we remember all the time and say "Never Again" and "Never Forget" and all that. Except the Nazi regime lasted for 12 years and the N. Korean one has been around fifty-plus years and is still going strong and as this article shows is as evil and vicious as the Nazis and no one seems to care.

A few points to take away:
For those of you who are whining about not having the latest Ipod or going to Cancun for spring break - SHUT THE F*CK UP!!! You live in the best country in the history of the world. You have never been hungry or in fear or without hope. The worst day for the lowliest homeless loser in any American city is a walk in the park compared to what this man has endured every day of his life. Be more thankful. Pray for those people. And think about how to make the world better so people don't have to live like that.....and also so that your parents can retire sooner.....
For those of you who roll your eyes and snicker when you hear our President talk about the "Axis of Evil" (just like you did when Reagan said "Evil Empire"), this is the evil they are talking about. It is real. PAY ATTENTION!!
Some of us remember what Barry Goldwater said in his speech in 1963: "Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice" but fewer of us recall the second part, "and moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue". It means fight hard. It means that "talking" to the North Koreans and other enemies of humanity has its limits. At some point it becomes time for action. Whatever religion you believe in (that is, one of the two legitimate ones - Christianity and Judaism - not the insane murderous one...) your religion requires you to right injustice, even if it is difficult, even if it means sacrifice.

Another quote to chew on: "All that is required for the triumph of evil is for men of good will to do nothing".

Now, I am not advocating that we attack those rotten Commie creeps. But as a generation - my generation - who boycotted lettuce to support the United Farm Workers; and South Africa to oppose apartheid; and Stoli when the Russians (the old Commie Russians, not the new Mafia Russians) were messing with "Soviet Jewry", we should try to work up at least the same indignation at N Korea, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba and other places where people are still oppressed. Stop supporting Commies. And stop supporting people who support Commies. Let's try boycotting Danny Glover and Sean Penn and Michael Moore and other traitors who give cover to Chavez and Castro and hate the country that made them rich and famous.

Just my opinion.
